Drake- in my feelings
Drake has never been my favorite artist, let me get that out the way lol, but his notable lyrics on several consecutive occasions has only left me with pure respect of his craft. Although I don’t like all of his work or him as an artist in total, I mean in the aspect of my top ten, he definitely gets his well earned place in the list of The Greats. Drakes realistic and relatable metaphors definitely sets him apart from the catchy cadence rappers and one hit wonders of today. He has amazingly catchy hooks, which makes his real one liners that much more valuable. As Drake progressed personally, the albums begin to change a bit as well, more emotional, and directed towards women, and more radio ready (both being smart business moves). Hints his latest album released has grown much more melodic for example “in my feelings”
one of drake's newest singles that’s exploding through radios globally. Once again somehow, the emotional hip hop super star Drake has gotten the world stuck on another trend, i’m still confused at how this inconclusive idea of dance moves are getting so many people hooked, I mean I’m one for catchy music, I can do my thing too, but this is by no means “Hotline Bling”. a more uptempo bright song.
"In my feelings" is a bit more emotional than most would think is preferred for turning loose too, but it has gained more than 2.3 million tweets for the "In My Feelings" dance challenge. Now let’s consider that for a moment not only has the song driven a energy among the masses to dance, but it has done so so well that it has become cool and trendy.
A trend in other words, from what I can see is called a challenge(lol). For those who also respect the business aspect of this can appreciate the potential of lucrative income a surprise from what it seems to me like this is. Unfortunately, album sells don’t have a big enough impact on standard of taste, but more in the aspect of evaluations( for instance who the best rapper). All in all it’s a good song, and a decent album. I let “in my feelings” play when not completely watching my playlist, so it’s not skip worthy but it’s not my first choice. All in all, I give the album a 6 out of courtesy and the album about a 5. If you haven’t heard it, the album, or have and don’t have a copy but need it follow the link to preview or purchase, the album or song.
